Levanger Microlight Club

Since our members are scattered over several places, we are operating from many airfields. Here we are presenting some of them:

Skogn Airfield

420 x 13 meter grass. This is a one direction airfield.

Position  63' 41.45 N  011' 13.30 E  Elevation 80 ft.

Direction  04 - 22

There is a powerspan crossing the north east end of the strip.
You need to be checked out on this airfield before you can use it. Please contact the airfield owner on phone +47 74 09 54 05.
In the spring of 2005 the airfield was expanded 120 meters in lenght and ca. 3 meters in with.
It is now ready for fast modern Microlights.


The airfield is close to the road from Skogn to Markabygda. The Norske Skog papermill can be used as a landmark.

 

As seen from 1000 feet altitude. It is parallell to the road. The windsock is placed to the right, halfway down the strip.

Frosta Airfield


Frosta airfield is another of the airfields Levanger Microlight Club often uses. It's situated on the Frosta peninsula. The strip is 450m x 12m grass. The directions is 08 - 26 with the windsock at teh south end of the strip. We are situated just inside the control zone of Værnes Airport, and we listen and transmit 133,75MHz before take off and landing.

The aitfield is ca. 2 km due west of  Frosta church.

Coordinates: N 63 34 40 - E 010 43 10.

Elevation: 16 m or 50 ft. Measured on the middle of the strip.

There are restrictions regarding landing and take off.and landing. See below.


Landings must be done from this side.

Do not fly over the white house on this end of the airfield.

Take off in this direction.

Grønøra Airfield (Snåsa)

This is the homebase for Snåsa Microlightclub.

It is also the regioncenter for Microlights in middle of Norway.

590 x 20 meter gravel strip. Elevation 89 ft. Direction 04 - 22.

Position  64' 11.00 N  012' 10.30 E    Radio 123.50 MHz

A new layer og gravel was added and the strip planed in the spring of 2005..
